not always true. it's best to check both University Bookstore as well as Follett's since if University has your book in used and Follett's doesn't, then you can save yourself a lot of money.

University Bookstore:
http://www.purdueu.com/

Follett's:
http://www.bkstr.com/Home/10001-10258-1?demoKey=d

All of my books for next semester are available at University in used copies, while only one is at Follett's used. If you get stuck where it's only available NEW at both, then wait till the band day to get your 20%(or whatever it is) discount! :D

Oh yeah and if any freshmen are reading this DO NOT OPEN YOUR BOOKS OR TAKE THE SHRINK WRAP OFF AFTER YOU GET THE BOOKS FROM FOLLETS/UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE!!! Sometime the books listed for courses aren't actually used in the classes so don't make them nonreturnable. Wait until after the first class to do bad things to your books.
