I'll make this first post short:
Every year the trumpets try to go to an away game so that we can be fans, and not in the band. Its also a ton of fun.
Location idea: Ohio State
date: 10/11/08
time: TBA
these are all the details i have at this point. Tickets are probably already on sale, but i suppose we need to wait until we are actually at school and can communicate with everyone in the section better. However, I would like to have more concrete plans by the first week of classes, and be able to order tickets by that week.

I vote that we stay in Dublin... it's a 3.75 hour trip from purdue to Dublin and a 30 minute trip from Dublin to downtown.
yay! Sleepover at Bills!
crap! my family and i are going to go to california that weekend to visit relatives. :(
Is there another Big 10 away game that would work?
Northwestern is the next weekend on the 18th.
However, I personally would prefer to see Ohio State and their band, as I never have. At Northwestern, though, we would probably have a better chance of coming home with a win.
As much as I hate to say it, going to Northwestern woud probably be the best call. OSU tickets are hot, and being able to get seats that are decent for the amount we would pay will be a slim chance. But then again I know housing for OSU is 100%, and the stadium is fun to be in cause it gets loud, but then again OSU fans can be crazy. So really, it's not my call, I'll leave it up to whoever is on tickets to sway the group to a decision.
hey guys, i just checked on what tickets could run us for the northwestern game and here is the deal:
to get group discount (which is $25 ticket) we need a group size of at least 50 people. We would be seated in section 113 (it says all group tickets are put there). Which is on the corner of south endzone.

I would really like to go to Ohio State as well, I'd really like to see the OSUMB. I doubt their fans would be as hospitable towards us as the Northwestern fans would be though... any idea on how much OSU tickets would cost?
osu band not worth it, its a crappy version of drum corps.
...plus their fans are mean :(
(then again as long as they dont throw charcoal i spose its not the worst weve seen)
Yeah, OSU fans really are jerks, I'd agree with that, especially after coming to our town last year and doing O-H-I-O in OUR stadium. Still, it'd be cool to go... but maybe Northwestern really is the better option.
I vote OSU. As far as fans go, you going to encounter good and bad everywhere you go. I've seen some pretty nasty mean Purdue fans. But whatever...
traitor
ok, whatever...my vote is still OSU.
